fun in the sun & tomorrow's the last day of school

tomorrow is the last day of school!! those double exclamation points may or may not be from excitement. LOL on the one hand, it'll be great to NOT have to be up at 7am hollering for kids to get their little booties moving.... BUT it will not be so great to have no free time. thank goodness i have a decent supply of babysitters around!!

so... tomorrow is the last day of school (yes, yes, i know i said that already, just keep reading!) & this week has been filled with SO much fun stuff for the kids. tuesday timmy's class had a water balloon fight at the park.... parents vs. 1st graders. UNREAL & SO MUCH FUN! it goes without saying that the 1st graders whooped our behinds & this momma came home absolutely, 100% soaked. =P

wednesday was movie day... pretty much speaks for itself, right?

today, thursday, was fun day for both of their classes at the park. there were different stations for the kids to play with water, doing different activities.

 

 

 

they also had an inflatable water slide. i didn't think i'd ever get these kids of mine out of it! whoever thought this thing up is a genius!

 

 

 

 

just for good measure & since it IS the last day of school tomorrow... here's a picture of each of the kids' teachers with their PE teacher. have a great summer!

 

 





ballet & tippy-tap (aka just a normal saturday morning)

i LOVE dance. especially ballet. i've danced since i was about 3 years old. & last fall, my daughter finally showed an interest in it as well! currently she's in a combo ballet & tap class at this great little dance studio in silver city, the conservatory of dance. the fun part?? i take classes there too & have made some GREAT friends there!!

this particular saturday, the girls in vicki's class were rehearsing for the upcoming "peter pan" performance. check 'em out....

sickness, sickness everywhere & mother's day in sight

so... i think the title says it all. kids have been sick all week. ALL WEEK! (oh, by the way, we have boy/girl twins that are 6, in case you're new to my life) it started on sunday with my daughter saying she had a sore throat. by sunday evening, that sore throat had turned into almost no voice & a fever. now it's friday & she's been back at school since wednesday but now it's my son's turn.

such is the life of a mom with more than 1 child, i suppose. =) as cruddy as it has been (& as exhausted as i am!!!) it has been SO nice to just be home with them. it's not very often that i get so much one on one time with either of them. the cuddles & snuggles are pretty great too!

so, it's 2 days until mother's day & you know what i would really like??? A NAP!!! whether you're a mother of your own children, someone else's children, have a mother of your own you love here or in heaven (heck, even a puppy or cats!) .... have a wonderful mother's day! <3
